You might find it amusing to propose some interpretations that are loosely connected to the work of art, but people’s good will and sense of humor can only go so far. We know when someone is stretching it or being mean-spirited. Others can challenge your interpretation but, as long as you ground your ideas in sufficient evidence from the work of art, there is no final word on whether you’re right.”
